🔥 Heat Transfer: Conduction
Why does metal feel colder than wood?🔩 Metal rodconducts heat fastfeels cold → draws heat away🪵 Wooden rodconducts heat slowlyfeels warm → holds heat backBoth are at the same temperature — but metal conducts better!

Touch a metal spoon and a wooden spoon left in the same room and the metal always feels colder. Both objects are at exactly the same room temperature — yet the metal feels colder because it conducts heat away from your hand much faster than wood does. This property — how well a material transfers heat by direct contact — is called thermal conductivity, and it explains many everyday phenomena.
