Food is the fuel that keeps our bodies going! Just like a car needs petrol to run, our bodies need food for energy to walk, think, and grow. But different foods do different jobs. Some give us energy. Some build our muscles and tissues. Some protect us from getting sick. Eating a variety of these different types of food every day is called a balanced diet.
